Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife, First Lady Olena Zelenska, posed for a special digital cover of Vogue magazine while Russia continues to take over their country.
Annie Leibovitz, a well-known American photographer, took a picture of Zelensky and Zelenska for the Vogue digital cover, which has been shared on all of the fashion magazine's social media sites.
"Portrait of Bravery: Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska" is written on the cover next to a picture of Zelenska on the steps of the presidential office compound in Kyiv, Ukraine. In a behind-the-scenes video posted by Vogue, Zelensky can be seen talking with Leibovitz while posing with his wife.
While Zelensky and Zelenska pose for Vogue, American taxpayers have paid tens of billions of dollars in foreign aid to Ukraine. This is happening at the same time that inflation and skyrocketing gas prices are hurting working and middle class families in the United States and the country is heading toward a recession.
In one part of his interview with Vogue, Zelensky brushed off the fact that American taxpayers are being forced to pay for his country's war with Russia, which is making inflation worse in the U.S.
"I'll be very honest and maybe not very diplomatic: Gas is nothing. Just try to picture what I'm talking about happening to your home or country," Zelensky said. "Would you still care about how much gas or electricity costs? ”
