But the victory by the 27-year-old American, who began racing in 2019, was met almost immediately by backlash from cycling fans on social media and some former cyclists.

The Union Cycliste Internationale changed its rules so that athletes can only participate in women's events if their serum testosterone level has been 2.5 nanomoles per liter or less for at least 24 months. That was a change from the old rules, which said that levels had to be below 5 nanomoles for a year before a race.

"The UCI rules are based on the latest scientific knowledge and have been applied consistently. They continue to follow the evolution of scientific findings," the UCI said in a statement, adding that the governing body "may change its rules as scientific knowledge evolves."

After Killips won, Olympic cyclist Inga Thompson wrote on Twitter that the UCI's stance on transgender people was "effectively killing off women's cycling."

World Athletics, which is in charge of track and field, and World Aquatics, which is in charge of swimming, don't let transgender women compete in world events for women.

In a statement, the Tour of the Gila, which takes place in New Mexico and is one of the lowest-level UCI races, said it had to follow the rules of the controlling body and let Killips keep his win.

"Tour of the Gila recognizes the heated debate about rider eligibility and classifications set by UCI and USA Cycling and encourages UCI and USA Cycling to hold an open discussion on the matter," the race said in a statement.

Killips rides for the Amy D Foundation in memory of American cyclist Amy Dombroski. She said in a statement shared on social media that she had gotten a lot of support from people in and out of the cycling community.

Killips wrote on Instagram on Monday, "After a week of nonsense on the internet, I'm especially grateful to everyone in the peloton and sports who continue to say that Twitter is not real." "I love my teammates and opponents, and I'm thankful for every chance I get to learn and grow as a person and an athlete on the course with them."

“They’re like, ‘Oh, we respect Lia, as a woman, as a trans woman or whatever, we respect her identity, we just don’t think it’s fair.’ You can’t really have that sort of half-support where you’re like, ‘Oh, I respect her as a woman here, but not here,'” Thomas said on Bailar’s new podcast Dear Schuyler.

“They’re using the guise of feminism to sort of push transphobic beliefs. I think a lot of people in that camp sort of carry an implicit bias against trans people, but don’t want to, I guess, fully manifest or speak that out. Bailar agreed with Thomas and lamented how women have supposedly “twisted” feminism to bash transgenders.

“They think about how twisted ‘feminism’ has become their arguments. In order to exclude anybody in the trans category, you have to reduce women to reproductive capacity, which is, in my opinion, extremely anti-feminist,’ Bailar said.

Some women have been dubbed TERFs (Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists) for their opposition to the transgender movement, particularly in regard to the movement's erasure of women. One such woman is the author J.K. Rowling.

The Biden administration's proposed modification to Title IX, which would effectively forbid schools K–8 from defending women's sports against transgender athletes, received backing from Lia Thomas, as was reported last week.

“I’m a transgender woman, a former college swimmer, and the first trans athlete to be named Division I NCAA champion,” Thomas said in a video. “I started swimming when I was 5 years old and it has given me so much. It has given me so many opportunities to learn, grow, develop and connect with my peers — opportunities I wouldn’t have gotten if I didn’t have access to athletics. That’s why it breaks my heart to see trans kids across the country lose out on these opportunities.”

“The Department of Education has proposed a new rule for Title IX regarding transgender athletes; this rule would prohibit blanket bans on transgender kids, especially in grades K through 8. However, it would not prohibit discrimination against trans kids in the high school and college levels under the guise of competitive fairness,” Thomas added.

Riley Gaines, the Kentucky swimmer who tied with transgender athlete Lia Thomas in the women’s 200-meter freestyle event at the NCAA championships, responded to Lia Thomas and called him “selfish.”

“Under the guise of competitive fairness? Are you really trying to say you would have won a national title against the men? Does it not break your heart to see women lose out on these opportunities? The Biden Admins proposed bill denies science, truth, and common sense,” tweeted Gaines.

“This take is selfish and shows an utter disregard for women. The Biden Administration is actively and aggressively working to pass laws that erase decent and fair treatment for women in sports,” she added.

“Congratulations to the @sixers on sweeping the Nets in the first round. Hopefully it won’t get all fucked up in the Finals, like with the Phillies and Eagles, by the curse of DOCTOR Jill Biden showing up,” he snarked.

Dykstra, who played for the Phillies for eight seasons in the 1990s, has called "Doctor" Jill Biden a bad luck charm for Philadelphia sports teams before. The tweet on Saturday night was not the first time he said this.

When the Phillies lost the 2022 World Series in six games to the Houston Astros, Dykstra told the team not to let Jill back into the stadium.

“Better luck next time, #Phillies,” Dykstra tweeted. “Might be better off rolling out that red carpet for Lenny Dykstra instead of Dr. Jill Biden. (9 hits in 3 games since she showed up.).”

Jill and her grandson went to Super Bowl LVII this year. The Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Kansas City Chiefs, even though it looked like the Eagles were going to win their first Super Bowl ring.

If Jill wants to go to the NBA playoffs, it might be best for the 76ers to suggest that she take up another sport.

“All you real women out there – we are in the fight of all fights,” the woman said to her more than 140,000 followers.

“Since the 1960s, we have been fighting for the right to be women,” she added. “Nike, you should be ashamed of yourself.”

“NIKE, you should be ashamed of yourself. You chose a little boy with no breasts and some junk in his pants to represent real women,” she said, adding, “Nike, I am done with you.”

“I will never, ever buy a Nike product for as long as I live,” she said. “And there are millions and millions and millions of women just like me.”

She then challenged other women to “burn your Nike bras … as a way of showing our solidarity and how serious we are that we will be recognized.”

“We are the queens, your consumers hit you where it hurts, and that’s right in your pocket,” she said, concluding, “I challenge every real woman that is sick of this nonsense. It’s a great night to burn my Nike bras.”

“They’re pushing us around and we’re not doing anything about it!”

She then set fire to two bras by her outdoor pool.

The latest controversy over Mulvaney's endorsement started on April 5, when the sportswear giant signed a deal with a trans activist who is clearly not athletic to dance around in an NIKE sports bra and tights.

Because Mulvaney worked with NIKE, many people said bad things about the company. Caitlyn Jenner, a former Olympian, Riley Gaines, a former college swimming champion, Sharon Davies, a famous British athlete, and Megyn Kelly, a TV and podcast host, were some of the people who didn't like it.

It was Mulvaney's second time calling for a boycott of a company. His first time was when he was selling Bud Light beer.

Tom Brady, the legendary quarterback of golden age, was significantly invested in the now-bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX at the time of its catastrophic collapse.

The athlete who avoided tomatoes was one of the crypto giant's most public evangelists, appearing in FTX advertisements and frequently tweeting football-related cryptocurrency musings. Despite the fact that he was believed to have an interest in the company, the terms of his arrangement with exchange were never made public. Hence, his losses in the collapse were unclear until today.

According to recent bankruptcy court records reviewed by Insider, FTX disclosed the exact amount of shares its top shareholders possessed in the once-thriving exchange. Let's just say that if we were Brady, we would be somewhat deflated.

According to the documents, the flamethrowing bitcoin miner owned an astounding 1,100,000 FTX common shares. And while it is still unknown how much money he may have actually invested in his partnership with the company, given that FTX was valued at over $32 billion at the time of its demise, it is likely that he invested a significant amount. In comparison, the entire competitor exchange Coinbase owned only slightly more FTX stock than Brady, with 1.3 million shares.

Dropping the Ball

In addition to major investment funds such as Tiger Global, Sequoia Capital, SkyBridge, and others, Insider reports that top shareholders include Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who had slightly more than 630,000 common shares, and Tom Brady's neighbor and supermodel Gisele Bündchen, who had slightly more than 700,000 of the same. (At the time, Brady and Bündchen, who were married, entered into an undisclosed September equity transaction jointly.)

Insider notes that all of these assets are likely now worthless. It is also important to note that Brady and Bünchen are two of several celebrity targets of a major class action lawsuit accusing FTX and its renowned ambassadors of selling unregistered securities to low-information customers on purpose. Typical celeb times!

However, we're sure it doesn't feel nice to watch the corporation in which you hold over a million common shares burn to the ground. Similarly, fighting against a comparable class action case does not sound enjoyable. But we're confident that the unretired player and his old bag of bones have a few years left on the field and an ESPN announcing position waiting for him shortly after. Financially, he will probably be alright.

And for the retail investors who may have been duped, what about them? We cannot say the same thing.

In one video, Brown and the woman are huddled together at the edge of the pool. Brown seems to be naked except for some gold chains around his neck.

The woman gets out of the water, wipes her eyes, and swims to the other side of the pool, away from Brown.

"He's waterboarding her!" says one man. Laughingly, someone else says, "He's giving her the long board!"

Leaning against the edge of the pool, Brown grabs his penis and briefly pulls it out of the water in the direction of the woman. This made a man watching from the side of the pool yell, "Oh my God!"

Two eyewitnesses told The Post that after the recording was over, Brown continued to show off his private parts and asked the woman in a rude way, "You want it?"

The sources said the woman looked upset and was later seen yelling and talking to other people about what happened inside the hotel.

A hotel representative wouldn't say anything and wouldn't say who the woman was.

A hotel worker who asked to remain anonymous said that Brown was asked to leave the hotel soon after the incident. A source said that other guests had also complained about Brown's behavior to the hotel in the past.

Brown was accused of breaking the rules about how to dress in the United Arab Emirates by showing his bare chest to hotel guests and of breaking the law by smoking something that smelled like marijuana in his room.

Brown, who wants to be a rap artist now, was in the United Arab Emirates to see Floyd Mayweather Jr., a friend and former boxing champion, fight in an exhibition match in Abu Dhabi and perform as Mayweather walked into the ring.

The seven-time Pro Bowler shocked the NFL world in January when he left Tom Brady and the rest of the defending champion Buccaneers in the middle of a game against the Jets. The Jets won the game in the last few seconds, but only after Brady and the rest of the Buccaneers left the field.

Brown tore off parts of his uniform at MetLife Stadium and ran shirtless through the end zone to the locker room. He did this after he and the coaching staff seemed to disagree about whether he was healthy enough to play.

The team let him go a few days later, saying that they first tried to help Brown with his mental health, but he turned them down.

His career has been up and down, and he will miss the first eight games of the 2020 season because he broke the NFL's personal conduct policy. Kanji Inoki was born in 1943 in Yokohama, which is near Tokyo. When he was 13, he moved to Brazil with his family and worked on a coffee plantation. As a student, Inoki became well-known in his area for his shot put. At 17, he started his career as a professional wrestler while on tour in Brazil. There, he caught the attention of Rikidozan, who is known as the father of Japanese professional wrestling.

Inoki started wrestling professionally in 1960, and two years later, he gave himself the ring name Antonio Inoki.

With the late Shohei "Giant" Baba, his rival and another Japanese legend, Inoki helped make pro wrestling a very popular sport in Japan. In 1972, Inoki began New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

In 1976, he fought Ali in a mixed martial arts match at Tokyo's Budokan hall. This was known as "the fight of the century" by fans of the sport.

Inoki got into politics in 1989 when he won a seat in the upper house, one of Japan's two chambers of parliament, and became leader of the Sports and Peace Party. In 1990, he went to Iraq to try to get Japanese people held as hostages there to let them go. He also put on a professional wrestling show in North Korea.

Over the years, Inoki got to know people in North Korea and went there several times to help solve Japan's long-standing problem with Japanese people being taken to the North in the past.

In 1998, he stopped wrestling, but he stayed involved in politics until 2019.

As for Dunne, who will be 20 next month, she is making money off of the NCAA's change to the name, image, and likeness (NIL) rule. With the help of her millions of followers on TikTok and Instagram, she is getting brand deals.

Dunne, who was born in Hillsdale, N.J., signed with WME Sports last August to be represented. The following month, the gymnast announced her first exclusive brand partnership with the activewear company Vuori.

More deals followed with brands like TooFaced cosmetics, GrubHub, Madden/EA Sports, and American Eagles, to name a few.

The spread is in southern Oklahoma and is currently used as a working horse and cattle ranch. There are riding trails all over the property.

"The property and facilities are ready to go for a major player in the horse business, a cattle ranch, or a private recreational ranch," Uechtritz said. "Both Dallas and Fort Worth are an hour away from the ranch."

During a player interview, Serbian media caught footage of one player trying to land a few "haymakers" before other teammates rushed in to break up the ugly situation.

The international basketball organization FIBA is looking into what happened between Salimatou Kourouma and Kamite Elisabeth Dabou.

Both players score less than 10 points per game on average, and the terrible Mali team has lost all four games by an average of 30 points.

Australia beat Mali by an amazing 60 points early on in the tournament.

The African country didn't even have a chance to compete on the world stage at first. Nigeria had administrative problems, so the country was added as a replacement.

Mali's last game is Tuesday, when they play Canada.

If they win, it will be the country's first World Cup win since 2010, when the team went 1-4 and didn't make it to the finals.

No one knows for sure what Rodgers saw, but it helped. The Buccaneers got a penalty for delaying the game, which moved the point of conversion back to the 7-yard line. The Packers then did a great job defending the two-point try, and Brady's pass for Russell Gage, which was meant for Gage, fell harmlessly to the ground, giving the Bucs their first loss of the 2022 season.

Even though they are 2-1, the Bucs have had a rough start to the season. After throwing the most passes in the NFL in 2021, Brady is now 22nd in yards, just ahead of Davis Mills. The Bucs' offense is 23rd in the league, but their defense has given up the fewest points of any team in the league.

In the Packers loss, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Julio Jones, three of Brady's best wide receivers, were not there. Brady is 45 years old. He is also said to be having problems with his wife, Gisele Bundchen, who is not happy with his decision to come out of retirement this offseason.

Rodgers' team, the Packers, is also off to a 2-1 start, but through three games, Green Bay has scored one point less per game than Tampa Bay. Davante Adams, Rodgers' best receiver target, was sent to the Raiders in the offseason.

Native American activists have asked sports teams all over the country to change their names because they think it's offensive to use their culture as a marketing tool.

In July 2020, the Washington Redskins gave in to a long-running campaign to change the name of the football team. Some supporters said the name had been used as a racial slur in the past. Now, the team is called the Commanders.

Last year, the Cleveland Indians baseball team changed its name to the Guardians.

It's not clear if American Indians want the Braves to change their name, though.

Last year, Rob Manfred, the head of Major League Baseball, said that American Indians like the name "Braves."

Manfred said, "The Braves have done a great job with the Native American community." "The Native American people in that area support the Braves program, including the chop, in every way. And for me, that's pretty much where the story ends. Taking into account the Native American community, it works in that market."

In 2020, Richard Sneed, the leader of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in western North Carolina, defended the name "Braves."

The chief said, "The name of the Washington Redskins was probably the only team name I could look at and say, 'That's offensive, that's a racial slur.'" "But all the rest are proof that native people have honor, strength, courage, and a warrior spirit."

Other groups don't like the name "Braves." The National Council of American Indians and the Muscogee Nation, which is based in Oklahoma but is originally from the Southeast, want the team to change its name.

Yamasa came up with a way to sell a pedometer called the Manpo-Kei, which means "10,000 steps meter" in Japanese. Some people even think that the company chose this name because the Japanese character for 10,000,, looks like a man walking.

The number wasn't chosen for any reason other than that it was round, easy to remember, and looked nice. The company didn't have any scientific evidence to back it up; they just wanted to sell their product. Unknowingly, they changed the fitness industry for years to come.

Many studies have been done to see if people really need to walk 10,000 steps a day to stay healthy, and it has been shown that this is a good goal. But until recently, no research had been done on the effects of anything between 5,000 and 10,000 steps.

One major study that came out in March disproved the 10,000-step goal. It said that between 6,000 and 8,000 steps a day is enough, and that anything more than 8,000 doesn't really help your health.

Another study that came out recently suggested that how fast someone walks might be more important than how many steps they take. Experts in Denmark and Australia said that if you walk quickly, you might not need to take 10,000 steps a day.

"People don't usually think about the speed of their steps," said Emmanuel Stamatakis, a public health expert and professor at the University of Sydney and the study's lead author. "This is because step count is easy to understand and a lot of people use fitness trackers and apps."

Yet no baseball rivalry quite matches that of the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants.

This rivalry is one of the longest enduring and most potent rivalries in all of professional baseball history. 

This has been around for the better part of a century and a half and has moved with the teams from the bustling streets of New York City to modernized California, with both the team's dominance continuously amplifying the rivalry.

Origins

A baseball rivalry will usually begin due to internal division-related competition. This rivalry is no different!

The bitter rivalry between the Dodgers and the Giants defies description and is considered one of the oldest and strongest in sports history. It is, quite literally, the greatest rivalry since sliced bread!

As of right now, the teams have played a total of 2,473 games against one another over 133 seasons.

This rivalry began in 1898 and was born from both teams playing in New York during the initial rise to fame. However, it has since stretched far beyond geographical convenience. 

There was an already-established animosity between the rich elites in Manhattan, the home of the Giants, and the working class residing in Brooklyn. From this point, the first signs of rivalry emerged during the 1899 World Series when the Giants defeated the Dodgers.

Move To California

During the next year, the Giants and Brooklyn both joined the National League. This enabled quite a few regular-season meetings.

Following the 1957 season, Walter O’Malley chose to move the Dodgers to Los Angeles but also convinced Horace Stoneham – Giants owner – to also move to California. This was done, in part, to preserve the rivalry between the two teams.

Yet being the only two teams west of St. Louis further drove the rivalry to new heights.

At this point, the rivalry heated up and saw the Giants win the 1951 National League in a tiebreaker series. They repeated this win in 1962 which was one of the most epic races that the two rivals have ever had.

During this year, they each finished with 101 wins which triggered a three-game playoff series where the winner would proceed to the World Series. Of course, the Giants won.

As a result, the opposition between the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers was once again cemented.

Head To Head Comparison

Though the Giants may have accumulated the largest number of wins of any MLB franchise, the Los Angeles Dodgers are right behind them. 

It’s safe to say that the Dodgers and the Giants are two of the most successful MLB teams in history. In 2018, the teams tied with 23 National League pennants – which is the highest amount of all time. 

The Giants are leading with World Series wins with eight, while the Dodgers are close behind with six wins.

The Dodgers have completely flipped the script on the Giants by winning the National League West division 17 times, including in the last six years. The Giants have only won eight times since moving into that specific division. 

Shocking Moment Of 1965

There is one moment that further skyrocketed the rivalry during the mid-20th century. 

Giants’ Juan Marichal’s shocking violence in 1965 is one of the worst events to occur on a baseball field. In the heat of the moment, Marichal hit Dodgers catcher John Roseboro across the head after an accidental movement on Roseboro’s part.

Roseboro suffered a gash in his hairline but thankfully avoided any damage to his eye. Marichal was suspended and fined $1,750 for his violent act.

This incident solidified the permanent animosity that still exists between the two clubs and their fan bases.

Current Rivalry 

Despite over 130 years of competition and thousands of games played between the teams, both the Dodgers and the Giants hadn’t met in the postseason until the National League Division Series in 2021.

The Giants had the home-field advantage during the best-of-five series after they won the NL West and achieved a franchise-record of 107 regular-season games. 

Despite this, the Dodgers won two straight elimination games to clinch the series title 3–2 over the Giants. This marked the Dodgers’ first postseason meeting in the modern era and showed their desire to overcome their rivals, the Giants.

As of 2022, the Dodgers and Giants are still bitter rivals – standing as two of the most prominent teams in the NL West.

Shavers was praised by his opponents for having so much power, but he lost both of his heavyweight title fights. In 1977, he lost to Muhammad Ali at Madison Square Garden for the WBA and WBC belts, but the GOAT praised him after the fight.

Ali said after the fight, "Earnie hit me so hard that it shook my family in Africa."

Shavers lost the WBC heavyweight title to Larry Holmes in Las Vegas in 1979. This was the second time in his career that he had lost to Holmes.

Holmes and Ron Lyle both said that Holmes was one of the hardest punchers they had ever faced, even after they beat him.

"Hey, man, that was the hardest punch I've ever taken," Lyle said after beating Shavers in 1975. "And George Foreman could punch, but no one could hit like Earnie Shavers did. The lights went out when he hit you. I can laugh about it now, but it wasn't funny at the time."

Holmes' best win came in 1979 when he knocked out Ken Norton in the first round. He also had wins over Jimmy Ellis and Jimmy Young. In 1995, he gave up work.

An NBA source said, "Alex and Marc were supposed to be even." Alex couldn't think of his part.

Now, the terms of the deal say that A-Rod and Lore have to make the next 20% payment by the end of the year. Three sources confirmed that A-Rod is scrambling to get his half of the money he needs for the down payment as well as his share.

"I wouldn't be surprised if A-Rod became Lore's No. 2," a source said, predicting that Lore might buy more than half of the team and control it.

Lore told The Post that he and A-Rod still make all decisions together, but he didn't say whether he had a bigger stake than A-Rod or not.

"I couldn't think of a better partner than you. "He is one of my best friends," Lore said on Monday. "Alex is the only person I would rather work with than anyone else."

A-Rod and Lore first worked together in 2020 to try to buy the New York Mets. At the time, A-Rod was dating Lopez, and sources close to the situation say that this seemed to play a role in how close he became to Lore.

"The J. Lo thing completely hypnotized Marc," said a person who knows both investors.

Sources close to the situation say that A-Rod often asked potential business partners to meet at the power couple's fancy homes in Bel-Air and the Hamptons, where Lopez was usually present.

The source said, "You always took your A-Rod meeting with J.Lo." "She's wearing workout clothes and going in and out of the room."

A source said that A-Rod always made it seem like they were investing together.

Lore, who started Diapers.com and sold his grocery startup Jet.com to Walmart in 2016 for $3.3 billion, and A-Rod eventually lost the Mets auction to hedge-fund billionaire Steve Cohen, who bought the team in 2020 for $2.4 billion.

Rodriguez, who is 47 years old, started dating Lopez at the beginning of 2017. In 2019, he proposed with a 16-carat emerald-cut diamond ring that was estimated to be worth $1.8 million. But they broke up and called off the engagement in the spring of last year, just one month before J.Lo started dating Ben Affleck again, whom she married this month in a big ceremony.

A-Rod and Lore put in a bid for the Timberwolves shortly before they broke up. According to sources, A-Rod wasn't financially ready for the breakup.

Sources say that A-Rod may be worth $500 million on his own, but that very little of that is likely to be cash. Sources say that he owns part of a $1 billion real estate portfolio with tens of thousands of apartments and homes, some of which are in the Minneapolis area.

Some insiders say that A-biggest Rod's problem may be that he no longer has J.Lo to help him win over co-investors. Recently, a 25-year-old fitness competitor from Dallas named Kathryn Padgett has been linked to Rodriguez in a romantic way.

“His ability to raise capital went from strong to meaningfully weaker,” believes a source who knows A-Rod well. “J.Lo validated him.”

If A-Rod and Lore make their next payment by the end of the year, they will have the chance to buy an extra 40% of the team and take control by the end of 2023.

An NBA source says that Glen Taylor, the owner of the Timberwolves, won't be too upset if the pair fails. Taylor thinks the team is worth about $2 billion more now than when they made the deal. He also thinks he can make more money by starting a new sales process.

No one from the Timberwolves called back.

"Glen has been a good partner, and we have learned a lot from him," A-Rod told The Post.

Still, it's not clear if A-Rod will be able to make money off the price he's locked in. Part of the reason is that NBA rules say he can't become an owner unless he can pay for 15% of the total purchase price on his own. When the team's debt is taken into account, that comes to almost $200 million.

If Rodriguez doesn't get a 50% stake, he and his co-investors could end up putting money into the team without having a say in how it is run.

In such a nightmare situation, "you will be a minority to the minority," a person who knows about the situation said.

Lore and A-Rod did a media tour in July 2021 to promote their new business partnership, VCP Ventures.

“We have a lot of similarities,” A-Rod told Bloomberg TV. “We are both from New York. We both have two daughters. We are both mission driven.”

But the only investment VCP talks about is a $1.9 million commitment to online store Thoughtful in June 2021. Thoughtful sells ways to keep track of and remember important events and details, and the VCP website says that the money will go toward this.

Two sources say that he made about the same amount before taxes when he sold the online shopping site Jet.com to Walmart.

Lore has put a lot of money into his food delivery company, Wonder, which raised money in June at a $3.5 billion valuation, according to reports.

Jenner, who has spoken out against transgender swimmer Lia Thomas's participation in women's competitions, defended Jackson in an interview on "America Reports." She told Fox News that Thomas's unfair biological advantage doesn't apply to golf, which requires a different skill set and has "a different set of rules."

"I've tried to treat these transgender athletes in the same way every time. It depends a lot on the sport. Jenner said, "Every sport is different." "With Lia Thomas, it was clear that she had gone through male puberty and had a bigger heart. It just wasn't fair. We were lucky to win that one."

John Roberts, a Fox News host, said that Jackson can play in the LPGA because the rules changed in 2010 to let golfers who weren't born female do so.

Jenner said, "These girls are really, really good." She also said that she supports Davidson's efforts, but she's not sure if she has what it takes to play on the LPGA Tour.

Jenner said, "To be honest, I'm still not sure about this." "I don't think she's going to be in a position on the LPGA tour where she can be the best. If I'm being honest, those girls are so good."

Jenner also praised Davidson's mother for defending her daughter against people who say it would be unfair for her to play in the LPGA.

"If I'm being honest, I'm on HaiIey's mom's side," she told him. "They don't know what it's like to make a change or how hard it is. The mothers do know, and Hailey's mom is out there helping her because she knows what this child has been through.

Golfweek reported in May 2021 that Davidson started hormone therapy in 2015 and had surgery to change her gender in 2021. The news source says that the last time Davidson competed as a man was in 2015 at Admiral's Cove in Jupiter, Florida.

With Corey Seager and Marcus Semien on the team, the Rangers were expected to be in the running for a playoff spot this year. The contracts were worth a total of $500 million, and Seager got a huge $325 million after years of being a star for the Dodgers.

"We didn't think we had put together a championship team when we started this season. From where we were a year ago in terms of talent, we thought we'd come a long way," said Jon Daniels, the president of baseball operations for the team. "We had goals, and we still do, but we were and are honest about where we are. … Still, we thought we'd be better than our record and how we've played at times.

ESPN said that the Rangers' 6-24 record in one-run games has ruined any progress the team has made with a near-even run differential.

Woodward, who is 46 years old, will finish his time with the Rangers with a record of 203-278. During the offseason, he got a contract extension that covered next season and gave him an option for 2024.

This is the fourth time this season that a team has fired its manager.

The Rangers now turn to Beasley, who is in his eighth season with the team and has been a big league coach longer than anyone else on their staff. He has worked in the major leagues before with Washington (2006) and Pittsburgh (2008–2010). In eight seasons as a minor league manager for those teams, he had a 590–472 record.

"He has every quality we're looking for. "Both the coaches and the players respect him," Daniels said. "He's been playing baseball for a long time and is smart. He's won in the minor leagues and played different roles here and elsewhere.... He is the right person for us as we move forward."

When asked if he thought that meant he was supposed to take close-ups of parts of the body, Johnson said, "Yes, sir."

The deputy testified that he took pictures of a black man's detached arm and hand, a close-up of a shin, a foot with dark skin, and a torso that was found near the helicopter. Most likely, the pictures were of the 41-year-old NBA player who had just retired.

“I don’t remember seeing the victim’s head,” Johnson said. “I remember [it having] a torso and having pants.”

Johnson said he also took close-up pictures of bodies in a ravine. One of them was a child with long black hair and black skin — presumably Gianna, 13.

He sent the grisly pictures to Capt. Brian Johnson and another uniformed firefighter that he assumed was a captain, according to the testimony. That person remained unidentified, he told the court.

At one point, one of Vanessa’s attorneys, Eric Tuttle, asked, “Did it ever occur to you that it is not appropriate to have close-ups of human remains on your personal cell phone?”

Johnson replied, “No, sir,” and repeated the answer when asked if he regretted taking the photos or if he would have done anything differently.

During cross examination, Jennifer Mira Hashmall, the defense attorney representing LA County, county sheriffs and the county fire department, asked Johnson if he knew who was involved in the crash at the time.

“When you took the pictures, did you know it was Kobe Bryant who was in the air?”

“No, ma’am,” the deputy replied.

Johnson said there was an internal investigation and he was interviewed twice, but he was never punished because of Deputy Katz's complaint.

Vanessa's lawyers say that county officials shared the private pictures without permission, which caused her "severe emotional distress" and added to the pain of losing Kobe and Gianna.

Thursday, Kobe's wife cried when a bartender said that a deputy had shown him pictures of Kobe's body while the deputy was in jail.

Earlier on Friday, a retired LAPD officer testified that it is common for officers there to keep "ghoul books" with graphic photos of dead celebrities and other well-known people for their own amusement.

When Bryant's helicopter hit a hillside in thick fog, Kobe, Gianna, and seven other people died, including Christina Mauser, Payton and Sarah Chester, John, Keri, and Alyssa Altobelli, and pilot Ara Zobayan.

The group was going to a basketball game for kids in Thousand Oaks.
