Kandi Burruss broke down while sharing a conversation she had with her 4-year-old son, Ace Tucker, about the Black Lives Matter movement and police brutality.

During Wednesday’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star explained that her toddler, who previously dressed up as a police officer for “Career Day” at his school, was confused by the recent protests sparked by George Floyd’s death.

“So, the police are the bad guys?” Burruss, 44, said her son innocently asked.

“Now, isn’t that crazy to have to explain that to a 4-year-old? For you to be black and have to worry about the police being the bad guys?” the reality star said amid tears. “I know y’all say I cry all the time, but that’s an emotional thing for me.”

Burruss then spoke directly to Andy Cohen, who has lent his support for the Black Lives Matter movement on social media, saying, “I know you care about us, but you don’t have to think about that … That’s something that we have to think about for our sons.”

Cohen, who has a 1-year-old son named Benjamin, silently nodded in agreement.

Burruss also shared that her 17-year-old daughter, Riley, has proactively cut off friends who are not supportive of the Black Lives Matter cause.

“She is very opinionated,” the “RHOA” star said of Riley. ” … She was like, ‘OK. I am unfollowing every single friend or person that is not black who is not speaking up about this, who is not showing that they are an ally with our community.’”
