Law Roach, the Hollywood stylist and self-titled “image architect” to celebrities including Zendaya, Kerry Washington, Tiffany Haddish and Ariana Grande, is pitching in to help black businesses in a time of need.
In the wake of George Floyd’s death at the hands of the Minneapolis police last week, protestors nationwide took to the streets to demand justice, with looting and vandalism breaking out during some of the demonstrations.
“If you are a black business that is destroyed and you are not insured I’m starting a fund with 25k of my own money to help rebuild,” Roach, 41, announced on Instagram Monday. “And I’m asking my friends in fashion to donate as well.”
While the fashion fixture has not yet shared a donation link with his followers, his friends flooded the comments with support. “Fully endorsed,” wrote Pyer Moss designer Kerby Jean-Raymond, while Tamar Braxton added, “Periodt on the period.”
Samantha Burkhart, stylist to Billie Eilish and Katy Perry, also pledged to help, as did celebrity hair and makeup artists including Josh Liu and Tym Wallace.
A representative for Roach did not immediately respond to Page Six Style’s request for comment.
