Flight attendant mistakes Simone Biles, pretending to be a child, gives her a coloring book

She got a coloring book and the Medal of Freedom.

Simone Biles, who has won seven Olympic medals, was mistaken for a child on her way home from getting the Presidential Medal of Freedom last week. The flight attendant gave her a coloring book.

The 4-foot-8, 25-year-old gymnast shared the embarrassing moment on her Instagram story, along with a selfie of her making a shocked face.

“Not the flight attendant trying to give me a coloring book when I board….. I said ‘no I’m good I’m 25,'” Biles captioned the pic, which was screenshotted and shared on Twitter.

Biles is tied for the most decorated gymnast in history. She was just in Washington, D.C., on Thursday to receive the nation's highest civilian award and 16 other awards.

The athlete became the youngest person to get the Presidential Medal of Freedom when President Joe Biden gave it to her at a ceremony at the White House. He joked that she'll have to find room for the new medal among her 32 Olympic and World Championship medals.

When the age mix-up happened, Biles was probably on a flight from Washington, D.C., to her home state of Texas.

She said that after the coloring book thing, another crew member brought her an alcoholic drink and asked if she was old enough to drink.

“The other flight attendant gave me a mimosa so we’re in the clear,” she wrote.

The screenshot of Biles recounting the experience has gone viral on Twitter with more than 160,000 likes.

“[I]’m crying at the thought of a flight attendant giving simone biles [sic] the most decorated gymnast in history a coloring book because she is 4’8″,” @mattxiv wrote in the tweet.
