More On: Shaquille O'Neal
Shaquille O'Neal's Sunday night dinner has reportedly replaced his power lunch.
The mysterious woman responded when we reported on the basketball legend's most recent rendezvous with her by saying it was all business.
Dr. Jaime Johnston, CEO of Kin Essentials, was with Shaq. When they were ordering chicken satays and martinis at Jue Lan Club last week, sources informed us O'Neal referred to her as his "date," but Johnston protested, "it was not a date."
It was a business meeting, and I don't participate in rumors, she added.
Johnston also shared an Instagram photo of herself at the eatery with the caption, "his favorite view," and a heart emoji. However, she left O'Neal out of the social media message.
After we informed Shaq about the cancelled appointment, we received many playful text messages from an unknown number that contained pictures of Shaq posing with various women, including a throwback shot from the 1990s of him and supermodel Cindy Crawford.
The anonymous texter with an Alabama area code sent us a message saying, "More mystery dates for you to write articles about, dumb man."
When we contacted the number back, a machine voice informed us that our "call could not be completed as dialed." Our follow-up texts were likewise ignored.
Shaq, were you there? Speak up!
They "came by themselves, and they departed by themselves," according to sources who saw Shaq and Johnston in the restaurant, but not before he covertly covered everyone else's tab.
There were 40 tables, and the total bill was more than $25,000. He was having a fantastic time and smiling for the cameras. She was less flamboyant. She definitely didn't want to stand out, the person claimed.
We hear that the retired NBA player will talk about the dinner in an upcoming episode of his podcast "The Big Podcast" with rumored girlfriend and "Entertainment Tonight" host Nischelle Turner.
The two have never confirmed or denied that they are dating, but everyone in Hollywood knows it. We've heard that he doesn't agree with the big five-figure Jue Lan check he heard about on the podcast. Instead, he says it was only $2,500. Our source, on the other hand, says that the damage was "$25,000 for 40 tabs."
We did not hear back from O'Neal's representative. We're still waiting to hear from the unknown texter with the Alabama area code. Watch out...
