Free agent guard Austin Rivers could find redemption in Denver.

Rivers — who spent the beginning of the season with the Knicks before he was traded to the Thunder at the deadline and then waived — is in “serious talks” with the Nuggets for a deal, according to The Atlhetic. The deal is pending health and safety protocols.

The contending Nuggets are in need of a backcourt piece after they lost star guard Jamal Murray to a torn ACL in Monday’s loss to the Warriors. Rivers could see meaningful minutes in the postseason with the Nuggets in the thick of the Western Conference race and in desperate need of guard help.

After a hot start with the Knicks — including a 23-point outburst in a win over the Jazz — Rivers slowly fell out of favor with coach Tom Thibodeau.

Rivers, 28, lost his spot in the rotation when the Knicks acquired point guard Derrick Rose in early February. He did not return to the team after the All-Star break for “personal reasons.”

Rivers, who played in 21 games with the Knicks, averaged 7.3 points and 2.0 assists per game. His last game in New York was on Feb. 13. Rivers was waived by the Thunder before he could appear in a game with the team.
