Princess Eugenie moves into Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s old digs

Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank revealed her pregnancy in September.

Not bad for a hand-me-down.

Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank moved into Harry and Meghan’s Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate five weeks ago, the UK’s Sun is reporting.

However, a source close to the royals tells Page Six that the tabloid’s breathless tale of “The Sussexes’ prized possessions [being] hauled out of Frogmore Cottage in the dead of night to make way for their new tenant” is incorrect.

“Meghan and Harry offered their home up to Eugenie and Jack when they first found out they were pregnant many months ago; it’s fully equipped for a new family and new baby,” the says. “It’s still Meghan and Harry’s UK residence, they’ll still stay there when they go back, but they’re delighted to be able to open up their home to Princess Eugenie and Jack as they start their own family.”

Eugenie, 30, revealed that she and Brooksbank, 34, were expecting on September 25 with an Instagram post showing a pair of baby booties and the caption, “Jack and I are so excited for early 2021.” Buckingham Palace made an official announcement the same day.

Eugenie married Brooksbank two years ago at St. George’s Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Harry and Meghan renovated Frogmore to the tune of approximately $3 million in taxpayer funds, though they have announced plans to reimburse Britain for the cost. The couple lived in the cottage for less than six months before moving to Canada and then California. The pricey revamping was a talking point for months afterward with the Queen herself said to be “privately unhappy” with the remodeling debacle.
