A new book says that Prince Harry's friends from England's prestigious Eton College told him he was 'f—king nuts' for dating Meghan Markle after she told them to stop making 'jokes about sexism, feminism, and transgender people.'
During a shooting weekend at the royal family's Sandringham country estate in 2016, the Duke of Sussex invited Markle, who was then his girlfriend, to meet his friends for "endless banter, jokes, and a lot of drinking," according to excerpts from "Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors" obtained by The Sun.
There were 16 of Harry's friends at Sandringham, along with their wives and girlfriends. Tom Bower, a British journalist, wrote the book. In it, he says that Markle did not like the friends' jokes.
“Without hesitation, Meghan challenged every guest whose conversation contravened her values,” the book claims. “According to Harry’s friends, again and again she reprimanded them about the slightest inappropriate nuance. Nobody was exempt.”
Harry apparently “had not anticipated Meghan’s reaction.”
The pals concluded that Markle was a “dampener on the party” and that Harry “must be f- -king nuts” for dating her.
“She lacked any sense of humor,” the book reads. “Driving home after Sunday lunch, the texts pinged between the cars: ‘OMG, what about HER?’ ”
Meghan would have problems with Harry's friends more than once. When Harry went to Jamaica in 2017 for the wedding of his childhood friend Tom "Skippy" Inskip, his friends thought he acted "princessy."
Markle flew in on a private jet from Toronto to Montego Bay for the three-day party, but she "refused to talk to Harry's friends." She instead "commented on the food."
