Brittany Matthews is still on cloud nine after getting engaged to longtime boyfriend Patrick Mahomes.
On Wednesday, Matthews shared photos from the intimate proposal, which took place at Arrowhead Stadium on Tuesday, the same day Mahomes and Kansas City Chiefs received their 2020 Super Bowl rings.

“9.1.2020❤️ On a day that was meant to celebrate you, you turned it into celebrating us,” Matthews captioned the Instagram post. “It’s always us, it’s always you and me. The words you looked into my eyes and said to me at this moment, will NEVER leave my mind! You made this day perfect, you took my entire breath away and I could not have imagined anything better.
“I love you, forever and always! Cheers to spending our lifetime together and an inseparable bond,” she continued.
Matthews, a certified personal trainer, has been dating Mahomes, 24, for eight years. She celebrated her 25th birthday on Monday.
This summer has been a memorable one for Matthews and Mahomes. In July, the Super Bowl MVP signed the richest contract in sports history, a 10-year, $503 million contract extension with the Chiefs.
For Matthews’ engagement ring, it appears the sky was the limit for Mahomes.
“Brittany’s stunning and trendy engagement ring from Patrick appears to feature an estimated 8- to 10-carat emerald-cut diamond, set on a white gold or platinum diamond-adorned double band,” Kathryn Money, the SVP of merchandising and retail expansion at Brilliant Earth, told Page Six Style on Wednesday.
“Depending on the quality and specific characteristics of the center gemstone, we estimate the cost of the ring to be between $350,000-$800,000,” Money added.
