In the wake of the Patriots’ 2018 Super Bowl loss to the Eagles, the supermodel allegedly joined Brady for a meeting with team owner Robert Kraft, where the topic of discussion was head coach Bill Belichick’s treatment of the franchise quarterback, as detailed in Jeff Benedict’s new book, “The Dynasty,” via NBC Sports Boston.

“She also pointed out how ridiculous it was that after all these years, Belichick still treated Brady like ‘f—–g Johnny Foxboro.’ It was bad enough to never voice approval. It was bulls–t to still be dressing down the most accomplished quarterback in league history during team meetings and treating his personal trainer and best friend like some kind of outcast.”

In the months leading up to the Bündchen-Brady summit with Kraft, cracks were already beginning to show in the quarterback’s relationship with Belichick. In late 2017, it was reported Brady’s longtime pal and trainer, Alex Guerrero, had been barred from the sideline and team charter.

According to “The Dynasty,” a meeting had also taken place between Belichick and Brady at Kraft’s home following New England’s latest Super Bowl loss.

“Hoping to facilitate some constructive dialogue, Kraft told them how important they both were to him. Belichick was diplomatic. Brady was respectful. But the distance between them was obvious.”

During Kraft’s sit-down with Bündchen, 40, and Brady, who have been married since 2009, discussions about the quarterback’s future were also brought to light.

“Kraft wasn’t surprised by their feelings toward Belichick. He hadn’t, however, expected to hear that Brady and Bündchen wanted to leave New England.”

Though speculation surrounding Brady’s future became a storyline throughout the 2018 and 2019 seasons, the former including Brady’s final Super Bowl win for the Patriots against the Los Angeles Rams, he had spoken candidly in the spring of 2018 about what it was like to play for Belichick.

“We’ve had a great relationship, a very respectful relationship for a long time. I feel like he’s the best coach in the history of the NFL,” Brady said at a conference, per ESPN. “He has a management style [with] players, and he would say, ‘Look, I’m not the easiest coach to play for.’ I agree. He’s not the easiest coach to play for.”

The Brady era in New England officially came to an end in March, when the 43-year-old quarterback agreed to a two-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He and Belichick were said to have had a phone call days before the signing that “didn’t go well.”

The Patriots have since signed veteran quarterback Cam Newton.
