“The Hills” are alive — again.

Season 2 of “The Hills: New Beginnings” is set to resume filming at the end of July or in early August, an insider told Page Six on Wednesday. The returning cast was two episodes in when the coronavirus pandemic halted production in March.

“Production is working with health officials in Los Angeles County to assure a healthy filming situation,” the insider said. “They will be doing some self-shooting but mostly back to filming with the new health regulations in place for filming.”

Brody Jenner, Audrina Patridge, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Justin Bobby, Frankie Delgado, Whitney Port, Brandon Thomas Lee, Jason Wahler and Kaitlynn Carter are all returning to the MTV series, the insider confirmed, noting that Mischa Barton and Stephanie Pratt will not be a part of the season. However, Barton, 34, is still very much a part of the cast’s drama and already called her replacement, Caroline D’Amore, “too boring.”

While Jenner, 36, and Carter, 31, split shortly after Season 1 aired, we’re told that Jenner is “OK” with Carter being on the show.

“He has no problem with it,” the insider assured us. “If the show is true to their lives, she’s a part of his life even if they’re not together.”

While were not rolling for Jenner and Carter’s dinner on Saturday with Jenner’s rumored girlfriend Briana Jungwirth, the insider said that fans will see Jenner enjoy the single life on the upcoming season.

It is unclear if Carter will address her relationship with Miley Cyrus, as they were together for a month in September 2019 after Carter broke up with Jenner and Cyrus split from husband Liam Hemsworth.

“This past July, I went on vacation with a female friend; the next thing I knew, I was in love with her,” Carter previously penned in an essay for Elle. “It wasn’t quite that simple, of course. But it also wasn’t very complicated, either.”

“Although the relationship with my friend was often referenced in the media as merely a ‘summer fling’ or a ‘same-sex affair,’ it was so much more than that,” she wrote. “This was a profound journey of self-discovery. For the first time, I listened to myself, forgot about the ‘norm’, and lived.”
