Lamar Odom’s fiancée, Sabrina Parr, is reflecting on the start of their relationship on the couple’s one-year anniversary.
On Monday, the personal trainer shared pictures of her and the former NBA player from when they first met and their first date.
The 33-year-old shared in the caption that she knew Odom, 40, was “the one” because he “made sacrifices” that “no man has ever made” for her.
Parr said she had a list of boundaries at the beginning of their relationship, which included not wanting to date a man who lived out of state, or a man that was dating multiple women. She also did not want to live together, have sex right away or be with someone who was too self-absorbed.
“He moved to Atl and rented an air bnb for him to stay in,” the trainer said of Odom. “He met me at the gym everyday to workout with me and even started trying all my healthy smoothies and food. He changed his phone number and cut off contact with previous women.”
She continued, “He patiently worked around my busy schedule with my two kids and niece living with me at the time. He also learned how to be intimate with me without having sex!”
Parr shared that because Odom met her demands, she thought, “Aight, I guess I’ll give this a real try lol.”
She added that she does not consider herself an expert in relationships, but advised other women, “Set your boundaries and stick to them! If they want you, they will respect them and stick around. If not, they aren’t the right one for you anyway!”
Parr and Odom got engaged in November after five months of dating.
The former Los Angeles Lakers player was previously married to Khloé Kardashian. Their divorce was finalized in 2016.
