As the coronavirus pandemic continues to hurt the economy and Americans worry about job security, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are offering an act of kindness to make life easier for their tenants.

The couple owns several residential properties in Los Angeles and decided to waive rent payments for the month of April.

Tenants were given the good news by an email that expressed empathy and encouragement, with a message from their manager — Shepard’s sister — who promised to work with residents going forward as the pandemic continues, according to TMZ

This isn’t the power couple’s first act of coronavirus kindness.

Last week, the actress posted on Instagram that her family donated $150,007.96 to the charity No Kid Hungry. She wrote the odd number comes from her daughters, Delta, 5, and Lincoln, 7, asking to donate the money they had in their piggy bank.

“I couldn’t have been prouder to add that extra, and important 7 dollars and 96 cents,” Bell wrote.

Bell and Shepard have also been practicing social distancing with their family. In another Instagram post, Bell shared that her husband has been isolating in an empty apartment after traveling just to be cautious and make sure he doesn’t show symptoms.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced a statewide stay-at-home order Thursday, prohibiting gatherings outside and requiring all non-essential businesses to close, leaving many without work or worrying about unemployment.
