No one won the huge $830 million Mega Millions jackpot on Tuesday night. This means that the next drawing will likely have a grand prize of $1.02 billion.
In the last drawing, the winning numbers were 7, 29, 60, 63, and 66. The number of mega balls was 15.
Even though no one matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, nine people in six states did match five numbers.
Two of the winners were from New York and New Jersey. Each of the eight winners got a cool $1 million. The other lucky player won $3 million because he or she matched all five numbers and the megaplier.
After the numbers were picked at 11 p.m., the official Mega Millions website went down. When players tried to check their numbers, they got error messages because the website seemed to be getting a lot of traffic all of a sudden.
Friday’s estimated jackpot, as it stands, will be the third largest prize in Mega Millions history and the 4th largest lottery jackpot ever won in the US.
The largest Mega Millions jackpot was $1.537 billion in October 2018.
