Vought International thanks Homelander for July 4th defense

On the Fourth of July, the official Vought International Twitter account posted an in-universe message from The Boys thanking Homelander for

In Prime Videos' The Boys, Vought International is the villainous corporation responsible for the formation of the Seven. On July 4, the company jokingly tweeted a post honoring Homelander, the Seven's leader played by Antony Starr. "It is our patriotic duty to put our trust in those who can do the job," the tweet says. "And no one does it better than Homelander when it comes to defending American values. Don't listen to anarchists or the establishment media; this country is thriving! Happy Fourth of July, and thank you, Homelander!"

Throughout The Boys' third season, Vought International has posted a number of similar in-universe tweets. Following a statement congratulating Starlight on "setting a record for most followed hero on Instagram ever with 193M, more than notable celebrities like Seth Rogen," the company issued a statement regarding accusations leveled against Vought by Erin Moriarty's character in the "Herogasm" episode. "The recent accusations made by Annie January, codename Starlight, on a recent social media livestream do not reflect Vought International as a whole," according to the post. "Vought assures our shareholders that we will fight these false allegations with the full force of the American legal system. We can also confirm that January has been fired and her position as co-captain of The Seven has been revoked, effective immediately."

The Boys debuted on Amazon Prime Video in 2019. The Boys, based on the comic series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, follows a group of vigilantes, Hughie (Jack), Butcher (Karl Urban), Frenchie (Tomer Capone), Mother's Milk (Laz Alonso), and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara), as they declare war on Vought's powerful team of heroes. The Boys, created by Eric Kripke, is nearing the end of its third season, with the season finale, "The Instant White-Hot Wild," set to be released on July 8. Amazon officially renewed the show for a fourth season in June. Urban recently revealed that filming for the new season will begin in August.

The final episode of The Boys Season 3 will be available on Prime Video on Friday.
