Sam Darnold seems to be handling his trade from the Jets just fine.

After being acquired from the Panthers on Monday, Darnold walked into a house full of people waiting to celebrate the quarterback’s move, cheering the 23-year-old with black, blue and silver balloons surrounding them.

Video of Darnold and his fellow partiers was posted by former NFL quarterback Jordan Palmer on his Instagram story. Palmer has been an offseason quarterback coach for Darnold, Bills star Josh Allen and Bengals No. 1 pick Joe Burrow, among others.

The Jets decided to move on from Darnold three years after taking the USC product No. 3 overall, acquiring a 2021 sixth-round pick, a 2022 second-rounder and a 2022 fourth-rounder. With Darnold gone, the Jets appear to be all-in on taking BYU’s Zach Wilson with the No. 2 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
