Duke’s season appears to be over.

The Blue Devils had a positive COVID-19 test on Thursday morning and are out of the ACC Tournament, according to multiple reports.

The overwhelming feeling was that Duke, which finished the regular season 13-11 and 9-9 in the ACC, needed to win the conference tournament to get a bid the 2021 NCAA Tournament.

“SAD NEWS: We will not continue competing in the 2021 ACC Tournament due to our school’s and conference’s health/safety protocols,” the program tweeted. “The determination was made following the positive COVID-19 test for a member of our program’s Tier 1 personnel after Wednesday’s game.”

Duke had registered convincing wins over Boston College and Louisville in the first two rounds and were scheduled to face Florida State in the quarterfinals on Thursday night.
