The family is healing.

Three years after Fast & Furious star Tyrese Gibson repeatedly lashed out at costar Dwayne Johnson on social media, calling him a "clown" and blaming him for delaying Fast 9, the actor says the beef has been settled.

“Me and The Rock peaced up," Gibson said on Stir Crazy with Josh Horowitz. "We talked for like four hours about three weeks ago. Yeah, we talked… It was great. What’s interesting about the Fast & Furious is, it’s not about any of us individually. See, we’re like the U.N. at this point. Everyone gets to go to the theater and say he and she looks like me."

Gibson brought up his conversation with Johnson as he was being pitched spin-off ideas for his Fast character Roman Pearce. In previously criticizing Johnson's decision to leave the main series for his own spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw, Gibson revealed that he had turned down similar opportunities. Speaking on Stir Crazy, he said of possible spin-offs, "If I did it with Tej (Ludacris), then who are we going to play off of? But I just could not make it about me."

After being delayed multiple times, Fast 9, which will star Gibson but not Johnson, is set to premiere in May 2021, and be followed by two final Fast films.
