Avery Williamson won the NFL trade-deadline lottery, going from the winless Jets to the undefeated Steelers, and his reaction on social media indicated as much.

The inside linebacker went live on Instagram on his way to the airport and was beaming, thrilled about the chance to reach the playoffs with his new team while leaving the dumpster fire that is otherwise known as the Jets.

“Going to the ‘Burgh. Let’s go, Man,” he said. “I need me a Super Bowl, Pittsburgh. I couldn’t even sleep last night. I’m hype. I’m a baller, now. I’m ready to go hit s–t, man. I can’t wait to be part of this defense. We’re gonna go crazy, man.”

Williamson also posted this hilarious photo on Instagram.

The 28-year-old Williamson missed all of last year with a torn ACL he suffered in the preseason and has played well so far this season, producing 59 tackles, three passes defensed and an interception.

The Jets traded him along with a seventh-round pick in the 2022 draft to Pittsburgh for a fifth-round choice in 2022.
