Rapper Silentó was arrested for allegedly wielding a hatchet while searching for his girlfriend, authorities said.
The 22-year-old “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” singer, whose real name is Richard Lamar Hawk, was collared Saturday for allegedly bursting into a random home on Burbank Boulevard in Valley Village, a neighborhood in Los Angeles, while holding the weapon, ABC 7 reported.
Someone in the house screamed for help, while others inside tackled and disarmed Hawk, TMZ reported. Shortly after, his pal arrived and told him it was the wrong house — and the pair fled as cops were called, the report said.
The homeowners and their kids were home at the time, but were not injured, authorities said.
Hawk was arrested about a block away and charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, cops said.
The Los Angeles Police Department said Hawk was searching for his girlfriend.
The incident came less than a day after the singer was arrested in Santa Ana for a domestic disturbance on MacArthur Boulevard, according to ABC 7.
He was charged with inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant and released, the outlet reported.
His 2015 hit song “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” has received more than 1.7 billion views on YouTube.
