Famed clean water crusader Erin Brockovich has a new book and podcast coming out, both called “Superman’s Not Coming.”
“We cannot pretend that the government is going to protect us,” she told Page Six. “There is no superhero on the way. Our water is poisoning us, our food is full of toxins, the air is contaminated, the earth is heating,” said Brockovich, whose grass-root environmental activism was portrayed by Julia Roberts in the 2000 movie. “
The only time I’ve ever seen things change for the better is when communities unite. We must be our own superheroes,” she said.
The book is out Aug. 25.
