Jared Leto is bringing Andy Warhol’s silver wig to the silver screen.

The 48-year-old Oscar winner confirmed via Instagram that he is slated to play the iconic artist in an upcoming movie.

“Yes, it’s true that I will be playing Andy Warhol in an upcoming film,” he wrote. “And so grateful and excited about this opportunity.”

The post honored Warhol for what would have been his 92nd birthday. “We miss you and your genius,” Leto wrote alongside a series of photos of the artist, who died in 1987 at the age of 58.

A rep for Leto confirmed to Page Six on Friday that what the star posted on Instagram is accurate.

It was reported in 2016 that Leto — an art school dropout — was slated to star in and co-produce the biopic “Warhol.” But it’s unclear whether Leto’s new post refers to the same film.

Warhol has inspired previous film depictions, including David Bowie’s portrayal of him in the 1996 film “Basquiat.”
