Andy Warhol muse Barbara Allen de Kwiatkowski has died at 69.

“She passed away peacefully in her sleep,” her family confirmed to us. She once worked for, and partially owned, Interview magazine and was known for associating with Mick Jagger, Truman Capote and Peter Beard.

“Barbara holds the keys to the other side of the amazingly enormous Warhol story,” Beard said in 2007. She dated Warren Beatty for “a nanosecond” and Jack Nicholson for “a little more than a nanosecond.” She was married to Henryk de Kwiatkowski from 1986 till his death in 2003.

Her family said, “One can only aspire to be like her.”
