Coco Austin’s dad, Steve Austin, has permanent lung damage after battling COVID-19.

“Now he’s home, but his lungs are damaged indefinitely,” Coco’s husband, Ice-T, told Jimmy Fallon on Thursday’s episode of “The Tonight Show.” “COVID attacks your lungs, and it can really leave your lungs ruined.”

The rapper, 62, also shared that his father-in-law was in the hospital for a month.

Last week, Coco, 41, revealed some of the treatments Steve, 63, was given to help him overcome coronavirus.

“He was given plasma treatments and Tociuzumba (a promising new covid drug),” she wrote on Instagram on July 22. “But then another bump in the road came too when a lung started to collapse but recovered from that too.”

The model added, “Everyday is baby steps and im excited to say today was his first day back home, but not completely out of the woods. He is teathered [sic] to a oxygen machine for who knows how long.”

On July 2, Coco spoke to Page Six exclusively about her dad’s unprecedented battle, telling us she felt like her “family is falling apart.”

“I mostly wanted to do this interview to let people know that I didn’t feel like my family could be touched,” she said.

Like Ice-T, Coco recognized that her father’s downfall began because he was not an avid mask-wearer.

“I think that’s why he’s in the position he is in right now,” she said, later adding, “Mask it up! How hard is it to mask it up?”
