Kanye West has filed to appear on the New Jersey ballot in November’s presidential election, state documents show.
The 43-year-old rapper collected 1,327 signatures — surpassing the 800 required by the deadline Monday for independent presidential candidates.
West similarly submitted paperwork Monday to appear on Missouri’s ballot and is eyeing to do the same in New York. He’ll need 30,000 signatures by Thursday’s deadline in the Empire State.
The presidential wannabe, who currently lives in Cody, Wyoming, has vowed to run under the self-style Birthday Party, though paperwork in New Jersey lists his slogan as “pending.”
West, who has bipolar disorder, announced he was running for president in a July 4 tweet — followed by a series of troubling posts about his marriage to Kim Kardashian, and hysterical first campaign rally in North Carolina.
Earlier this month, he filed the $35,000 fee to appear on the Nov. 3 ballot in Oklahoma and Statement of Organization paperwork with the Federal Election Commission.
