Amber Heard recalled in court Monday how then-beau Johnny Depp allegedly dangled their teacup Yorkshire terrier out the window of a moving car while “howling like a dog.”
“We shared two small dogs at the time, Pistol and Boo,” the actress said in an explosive 39-page statement submitted to London court.
“He took Boo and held her out of the window of the moving car, as some sort of joke or prank, while he himself was howling like a dog,” she claimed of one instance.
Depp was grilled over the alleged pooch-abuse incident when he took the witness stand earlier in the trial, which revolves around his libel case against Britain’s The Sun.
The newspaper tabloid called him a “wife beater” in a headline for a 2018 article, based on his ex-wife’s claims that he repeatedly assaulted her during their relationship.
Depp has denied ever beating the “Aquaman” actress — or threatening either of their dogs, for that matter.
Sun lawyer Sasha Wass had asked Depp about the alleged 2013 dog-out-the-window incident — although claiming it was their other Yorkie, Pistol.
“When you were in the car, you were smoking, and you opened the window, and you were angry, and you were aggressive. … And you took hold of Pistol, and you held her out of the window and started making howling noises,” Wass said to Depp.
Depp shot back, “I can say it is a very endearing image, but it is absolute utter falsity, it is fraudulent.”
Pressed on whether he thought the image was funny, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor replied, “No ma’am, I don’t think hanging an animal, a small defenseless dog that weighs three pounds out of a window is fun.”
