Former First Lady Michelle Obama thanks President Barack Obama for the way he loves “all the young people in this country” in a Father’s Day tribute on Facebook Sunday.
The mother-of-two shared a throwback photo Sunday of Barack laughing along with the couple’s daughters, Malia, 21, and Sasha, 19.
“Thank you for the way you love our girls—and all the young people in this country, no matter who they are or where they come from. We feel your warmth and generosity today and everyday. Happy Father’s Day, Barack!” Michelle wrote.
Michelle has previously said the family of four was all under one roof during coronavirus lockdowns because their daughters’ colleges switched to virtual classes.
“I know for us, it’s forced us to continue to sit down with each other, have real conversations, really ask questions and figure out how to keep ourselves occupied without just TV or computers,” Michelle told Ellen Degeneres in a phone call. “It’s a good exercise in reminding us that we just don’t need a lot of the stuff that we have.”
