Matt Damon isn’t happy Jimmy Kimmel is taking a break from talk show

“What does that mean, ‘off’?” scoffs Damon, with Kimmel responding he’s simply taking some time.

“What am I gonna do?” says Damon, 49, adding he’s been waiting to get on the show after hiding in the room for three months. The duo has famously been engaged in a prank-filled “feud” for years now.

Kimmel, 52, said he’s taking a break starting July 6 to spend it with his family.

“There’s nothing wrong, I’m healthy, my family’s healthy, I just need a couple of months off,” Kimmel said. That statement seemed to address Kimmel’s break in 2017 — when he stepped away from the show after his son, Billy, was born with a heart defect, which required multiple surgeries.

Kimmel’s hiatus will end in September, when he returns to the air to host the Emmys, although it’s unknown if they’ll take place virtually or in-person in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

This spoof clip shows Damon and Kimmel joking with each other, as the actor rips the host for keeping a Tori Spelling book in his bedroom — which Damon quips he read three times while hiding. Shortly after, Kimmel’s wife, Molly, is seen sneaking out from that bedroom — also in a robe.

“Why is my wife in the room?” asks Kimmel. “I mean, why do you think she’s in the room?” Damon responds.

Damon then walks off-screen, wishing Kimmel a great summer wherever he’s going.

“You have a great summer wherever you’re going,” Kimmel claps back.

“I will!” says Damon. “I’m going into your wife!”
