For the second time this offseason, a Giants player has been arrested and faces serious charges.

Aldrick Rosas, the 25-year old kicker, was driving his black Chevy SUV Monday around 8:25 a.m. in Chico, Calif., when he was involved in an alleged hit-and-run, according to the California Highway Patrol.

There is reason to believe alcohol was involved, police said, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the suspicion of drinking and driving.

“Alcohol impairment is believed to be a factor in the collision,’’ the California Highway Patrol said in a statement.

TMZ was first to report the arrest.

Rosas was reportedly driving erratically — witnesses told investigators Rosas was passing traffic and crossing double yellow lines at an estimated 100 mph.

Rosas allegedly ran through a red light and T-boned a Ford pickup truck at an intersection. Rosas drove away, but his car broke down not far from the scene of the accident. Rosas left his disabled car, the CHP report said, with his hands, legs and feet covered in blood. The other driver did not sustain any injuries, according to the report.

Rosas was arrested a short time later. He was booked at Butte County Jail on a misdemeanor hit-and-run charge, along with driving with a suspended license, according to the report.

The Giants said in a statement, “We are aware of the situation and have been in contact with Aldrick. We have no further comment at this time.”

This is the second time this offseason the Giants needed to make a statement about one of their arrested players. Cornerback DeAndre Baker, 22, was arrested on armed robbery charges and aggravated assault stemming from an alleged incident May 14 in Miramar, Fla. Patrick Patel, one of Baker’s attorneys, told The Post he expects the charges will eventually be dropped.

Rosas is the only place-kicker on the Giants roster, but that is likely to change, given these events. He was re-signed as a restricted free agent to a one-year deal worth $3.2 million. Two years ago, Rosas wowed the Giants by hitting 31 of his 32 field-goal attempts, making the Pro Bowl in only his second NFL season.

Last season, Rosas slumped, hitting only 12 of his 17 field-goal attempts. He also missed four extra points. Still, the new coaching regime seemed confident in his ability, as no other kicker was signed. Thomas McGaughey, Rosas’ special teams coordinator the past two seasons, was retained by new head coach Joe Judge.

After Baker’s arrest, the Giants told him to stay off the team’s remote offseason program Zoom chats to focus on his legal issues. Rosas took part in the virtual program, which ended for veteran players on Friday.

The Giants can get rid of Rosas, if they choose, with no salary-cap ramifications.
