On Saturday, the 31-year-old quarterback posted a video of himself throwing passes to Beckham, practicing together at UCLA.
“Please do not get it twisted…. ‘Everyday’ I’m crafting!!” Newton captioned the clip, adding the hashtags “shine thru the shade” and “not for likes just for life.”
Newton remains the top quarterback left on the NFL free-agent market following his release from the Carolina Panthers in March after nine seasons. The Panthers signed former Saints quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to a three-year, $63 million deal.
Newton was sidelined for most of his final season in Carolina due to an ongoing foot injury. He was placed on IR in November.
