Spike Lee about his newie “Da 5 Bloods.”

Spike: “I knew we hadn’t seen brothers like this in a Vietnam film. No disrespect to any film before about that war, but I wanted this through the perspective of the black soldiers.”

“Da 5 Bloods” stars Chadwick Boseman and Delroy Lindo, who plays a Trump supporter. Plot has them returning to Vietnam to collect the remains of their fallen squad leader and the fortune in gold he helped them hide.

“I’m a historian who was taught that African-Americans fought for this country from Day 1,” says Spike. “Seems to me we’re still fighting for this country today.”

His next fight is for viewers. It premieres on Netflix Friday.

Madam on call girls during CV

Heidi Fleiss. LA’s famous Madam of the ’90s. I asked the ex-pro how call girls do what they do with social distancing and face masks? Heidi: “Such money to be made that it will never stop. Always guys with not-usual problems. Small penis, another an injury, one’s in a wheelchair, belittled his entire life. They don’t care about the coronavirus. With prostitution houses now closed, it’s even easier. It’s takeout. Delivered to your door. Come whenever you want. Dial a number, she shows up. You think a man who wants that cares about disease? … Any city. Negotiate the price right on the Internet. Photos, reviews. Pick whatever girl, man, woman you want. One says she’s been awarded six stars. Red-light districts won’t ever go away. Now you just order whatever you want.”

Besides Fleiss suing over millions of dollars that she claims an ex-friend owes her — “I’m not the nicest person. I will make sure she doesn’t get away with this” — once-notorious Heidi lives out West fund-raising for birds. “Macaws are big, loud, scary. A huge challenge. They’ve harmed me. Bitten me. Although I was a chess champion, I know people see me as a kook. But macaws live as long as we do, and how’d you feel if you had to live 100 years in a crate? I realize I’d been in prison for a reason. No creature like a macaw should be penned up. My whole life is birds.”

Goods missing

Our post-CV shopping — factories, wholesale, outlets, discounts, pop-ups, online — have new problems. With buying from TVs, phones, ads, it’s home delivery. But, with quarantine, recipients plus drivers now bypass required signatures stating merchandise received. Drivers often leave the parcel and sign the receipt themselves. Recipients now complain the purchases haven’t arrived.

It’s either mistakes, human error, smarties or looters. With items exceedingly slow now arriving from abroad, and with insurance rates for such operations now going higher, merchants are being forced out of business.
