A former manager at one of Sarah Jessica Parker’s eponymous stores is suing the “Sex and the City” star, and her business partner, for allegedly failing to pay her overtime wages.

The ex-staffer, Heather Holt, claims in New York State Supreme Court papers filed on Tuesday that Parker, her business partner George Malkemus, and their LLC stiffed Holt out of overtime pay from Dec. 31, 2018 to March 1, 2020.

“Plaintiff was not adequately compensated overtime wages at the overtime wage rate for all hours worked over forty in a workweek,” the suit claims. The suit doesn’t say how much Holt’s allegedly owed.

Parker’s NYC locations include a pop-up shop on West 52nd Street and a boutique at 93 South Street. Her popular shoe line also has stores in Las Vegas, Maryland, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Canada.

Holt’s seeking the back wages plus interest, “liquidated damages and statutory penalties,” according to the suit. “All New Yorkers deserve to be paid for the time that they worked. Violations of the Wage Theft Prevent Act are serious, and every employer who allegedly violates the law needs to be held accountable, even celebrities such as Ms. Parker,” commented Holt’s lawyer, Lawrence Spasojevich of Aidala, Bertuna & Kamins.
