“Bachelor” alum Caelynn Miller-Keyes said Monday she felt “hurt” about being passed over as “The Bachelorette” last year in favor of Hannah Brown.

Appearing on Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti’s “Almost Famous” podcast, the former beauty queen — who competed with Brown, 25, on Colton Underwood’s season of “The Bachelor” last year — opened up about the opportunity.

“I remember getting the call that it wasn’t me for ‘Bachelorette’, and I was like, ‘Dang, that kind of sucks.’ And then I found out it was her at ‘Women Tell All,’” Miller-Keyes shared. “It hurt. It definitely hurt.”

Miller-Keyes, 24, said she felt “stung” and “upset,” adding, “I was kind of led to believe that it was mine and then suddenly it wasn’t.”

“Looking back on previous seasons, it’s always been in the top four and then to branch out and to pick Hannah, it just hurt,” she said.

Miller-Keyes finished fourth on Underwood’s season while Brown was eliminated in Week 7.

The tension between Miller-Keyes and Brown, a fellow pageant star, was also featured on the show, with the women later addressing their past on-camera.

While they have since gone their separate ways — with Brown joining “Dancing with the Stars” after “The Bachelorette” — Miller-Keyes appeared on “Bachelor in Paradise” last summer, when she met current boyfriend Dean Unglert, a fellow “Bachelorette” alum.

In December, 29-year-old Unglert underwent surgery after a ski accident in the Swiss Alps. For New Year’s, he celebrated with Miller-Keyes, whom he called one of his biggest “supporters.”
