Who wants to be the next Barstool “Idol”?

In the wake of the sordid “Call Her Daddy” podcast drama, which has turned the co-hosts against each other and led to a stoppage of the smutty podcast since early April, Barstool Sports has been “inundated” with wannabe hosts eager to step into the vacuum left by Alexandra Cooper and Sofia Franklyn.

“We’ve got inundated with people being like, ‘Hey, I can do “Call Her Daddy,” I can take their jobs,’ blah blah,” says Barstool founder Dave Portnoy in an Instagram video.

But the Barstool ringmaster isn’t looking for “Call Her Daddy 2.0.” He’s looking for fresh talent.

“We’re not looking for ‘Call Her Daddy’ replacements,” he says. “If we can work something out with them, great.”

In the meantime, Portnoy asks eager candidates to submit their most dazzling videos, reels and clips to [email protected] and show why they should be the next Barstool Sports star.

“Don’t just be like ‘I’m funnier than the “Call Her Daddy” girls, I’ll do that better.’ Send us a clip, send us a video,” he says, adding that someone at the sports media company will look at serious submissions.

“If you are funny, smart, wanna get into this thing … we are looking for girls. If you want to start your own podcast, if you want to do your own thing. Contrary to popular belief, we’re actually, like, a fun place to work.”

While closing out his pitch, Portnoy couldn’t resist one last dig at Franklyn’s boyfriend, HBO Sports executive Peter Nelson, who has been at the center of the co-hosts’ schism.

“And maybe who knows down the road, you can be the next huge star. And you can date a guy in a f–king weird-looking suit who thinks he’s smarter than everybody else trying to f–k everybody over. Who f–king knows.”
