Tallulah Willis didn’t speak to her mother Demi Moore for almost three years.

On Mother’s Day, the youngest daughter of actor Bruce Willis and Moore, 57, shared on Instagram that the holiday was particularly painful while they were estranged.

“I didn’t talk to my mom for almost 3 years and during that shattered time this day would transport me from fragmented pieces to absolute dust,” the 26-year-old wrote. “I remember tearing up driving to work upon hearing a radio ad that cheerily recommend which ‘perfume Mom would absolutely adore’. I digested the entire celebratory nature of the day as an insensitive slight to MY pain and MY story.”

“However, my story changed,” Tallulah continued. “Through a metamorphosis of inward self reflection and a malleability to forgive, 3 years did not stretch to forever. The gratitude of that truth has never lost its potency,” she continued.

Tallulah concluded by addressing Moore directly.

“I revel in all that you are @demimoore and all that you continue to teach me. I witness what this day means for you, and where you came from. Every nook and cranny of you is worthy and gilded. I love you,” she wrote.

“The Whole Ten Yards” actress discussed her fractured relationship with Moore during a 2019 episode of Jada Pinkett Smith’s Facebook show “Red Table Talk“.

Tallulah admitted to feeling neglected during Moore’s marriage to Ashton Kutcher, who the actress married in 2005 and divorced in 2013.

“Watching the behavior with Ashton those years — because everyone left the house and it was just me living there — I felt very forgotten and I felt like I developed and I nurtured a narrative that she didn’t love me,” Willis confessed. “And I truly believed it … In that moment, you’re hurt and you can’t fathom that someone that loves you would do that to you and would choose others more than you.”

Now, however, the family is once again under the same roof.

Bruce, 65, and Moore — along with Tallulah, Scout, and Rumer — have been quarantining since mid-March at their home in Idaho. Bruce’s second wife, Emma Heming, and their two daughters, Mabel, 8, and Evelyn, 6, recently joined them after isolating in Los Angeles.
