SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, 48, and Canadian singer Grimes, 32, welcomed their first child together Monday, christening him not with a name so much as a series of random characters: X Æ A-12. This has, unsurprisingly, led to a lot of memes.

Musk confirmed the news of the newborn’s birth by posting photos of the infant to social media — and getting in on the meme action himself, with a picture showing Post Malone-esque face tats on the child.

The Tesla founder revealed the name in response to a fan’s Twitter request for it, responding to the comment “X Æ A-12 Musk,” and offering no further explanation. Grimes then offered an analysis — which Musk disagreed with — of the bizarre series of characters, with no word on how to pronounce it.

In addition to having a baby in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, Musk also listed two of his Bel Air, California, mansions for sale this week after stating he will “own no house” in a bizarre Twitter rant and announced he will shoot Tom Cruise into space.
