Dear Twitterverse: Tara Reid wants everyone to stop confusing her with Tara Reade.

Ever since Reade, a former staffer to Joe Biden, publicly accused the presidential candidate of sexual assault, Reid — as in the “Sharknado” and “American Pie” star — has seen her Twitter timeline inundated with threats, nastiness and snarky comments from people mixing them up.

“It’s so crazy. I looked at my Twitter and people were telling me ‘You’re a wrong, bad person!’” Reid told The Post. “I was like, ‘Who did what to who? You’ve lost your mind.’”

Reid finally got the news that Reade has accused Biden of pinning her against a wall, reaching under her skirt and assaulting her in 1993, when she was a staff assistant in his Senate office. (Biden has denied the allegations, saying, “They aren’t true. This never happened.”

“I was like, no way — it’s not me! You’ve got the wrong Tara!” said Reid, who is waiting out the coronavirus lockdown in her Hollywood, California, home. “Are people that stupid? I mean, c’mon … I’ve done a lot over the years, but not this.”

While Reade made her initial accusations public in March during an interview with podcast host Katie Halper, the media was slow to pick it up. It wasn’t until mid-April that Reid started getting Twitter attacked:

On April 15 @PrimetimePurity wrote: “Tara Reid has had countless opportunities to grow as an actress. She’s been in the industry for more than twenty years. But instead, she insists on starring in five Sharknado movies. Now, she’s claiming that Joe Biden sexually assaulted her. It. Won’t. Work. #Resist.”

The mistaken identity continued, with others like @oilkardashion writing: “Serious question: Did Joe Biden allegedly sexually assault Tara Reid before or after Sharknado?”

Along the way, there were attempts to correct the masses on the Reid/Reade affair — @skifootz posted a side by side comparison of the two women, noting: “Can we get this right, folks? Tara Reid is an actress. Tara Reade is former staff assistant to Joe Biden who has accused him of sexual assault. And by the way, isn’t it about time he addressed these allegations personally? Why is he hiding? He could be the president in 8 months.”

Biden said Reade’s allegations “never happened” as he faced a grilling by “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski Friday.

“I don’t know Joe Biden,” Reid added. “I know about him but I’m not into politics at all. What is going on? The wrong person to bring into politics is me.”

And while she may not want to be mistaken for Reade, Reid has a lot in common with many Americans right now: “When lockdown ends, the first thing I’m gonna do? I need to get my roots done and get a mani-pedi!”
