After going offense on their first two picks, the Jets got a new toy for defensive coordinator Gregg Williams with their first of three picks in the third round of the NFL Draft on Friday night.
The Jets took Cal safety Ashtyn Davis with the No. 68 overall pick, the one they acquired from the Giants in the Leonard Williams deal.
Davis is a versatile defensive back who has played cornerback, too. The Jets would seem to be set at safety with Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye, so they may be looking to move Davis around the field.
