Eddie Murphy is back on the stand-up comedy circuit after a long break, and soon, he’ll be in your living room.

The legendary comedian, along with Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Tiffany Haddish, Howie Mandel, Billy Crystal, Kevin Hart, Marc Maron, Marlon Wayans, Margaret Cho, Tim Meadows, Jon Lovitz, and more have joined the star-studded lineup of the “Feeding America Comedy Festival,” which was put together by Byron Allen, a former comedian, producer, and the CEO of Allen Media Group.

The May 9 charity event, which is co-produced by Funny or Die, will involve the comedians performing livestream sets from their own homes to raise money for Feeding America.

“Laughter is often the best medicine, and we are extremely motivated to bring attention to issues of food insecurity, and to assist in providing meals to families across the country who are financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic,” Allen told The Wrap.

Most recently Murphy, 59, starred in the Golden Globe-nominated Netflix film “Dolemite Is My Name” and returned to host “Saturday Night Live” for the first time in 35 years. (His last time before that was in 1984.) At the time, one fan equated Murphy’s re-emergence to “Michael Jordan un-retiring … the first time.”

The “Feeding America Comedy Festival” will livestream on the Allen Media Group television network’s Comedy.TV and The Weather Channel and on the app Local Now, from 8 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, May 9.
