Deepak Chopra, getting himself into the p.r. action of CV, says hand-washing’s not enough. Hygiene needs brain-boosting too. Like: “Important to practice mental hygiene because stress weakens our immune system.”

Jewel and he co-produced “The Mindfulness Movement.” Was for theaters. Now not. The doc’s online Friday.

Jewel used the techniques to escape homelessness, get her act together, and last week, a quarantine concert from her bedroom raised $550,000 for mental health.

She says: “Mindfulness reduces silent symptoms of anxiety, fear and depression.”

Yeah, but besides babble, us homebound need Brillo and Bounty.

Hard out here for gossip

Adam Rathe of Town + Country online about CV affecting gossip: “Cindy Adams is running out of things to write. The reigning doyenne of New York City chatter has been stuck inside her Park Avenue penthouse [now 3 ¹/₂ weeks] and the tongues of the city’s tipsters have noticeably slowed their wagging. ‘Soon,’ she says, ‘I’m going to have to reprise an exclusive sit down I once had with Abraham Lincoln.’

“A problem for anyone in her position. With an unprecedented number of people practicing social distancing to stop the spread of the coronavirus, an entire ecosystem of cocktail parties, opening-night soirees, and VIP-room antics has ground to a halt. Restaurants are closed, events are canceled, Broadway shows are dark.

So, how do you gossip when everyone’s stuck inside?

“‘What can you write? It’s an impossibility,’ says Adams, whose dishy column runs four times a week in the New York Post. “ ‘People I once ignored and avoided, I’m now thrilled to speak to . . . I’m making a list of those who called me and those who didn’t, so I’ll know who to be nice to in the future.’ ”

Casting a king

Netflix’s “Tiger King’s” about Joseph Maldonado-Passage, called Joe Exotic, who’s in the can in Fort Worth, Texas, for 22 years. He did rude things like looking to knock off a rival, falsify wildlife records and animal abuse. I mean, not even the Democratic party would want him. They’re now turning this into a feature film. He’s bleached blonde. Near 60. So who they’re thinking should play this two-legged animal? Brad Pitt.

Can’t win

In 1976, when Gerald Ford reacted hastily to a swine flu pandemic, it contributed to losing his presidential election. A vaccine was launched and some died from the inoculation, and our government paid millions in claims.

Now it’s 2020. For not panicking pdq at CV’s earliest onset, Donald Trump was criticized. So, either the world turns or the worm turns.

This doc needs new accessories

Praise for omniscient, omnipresent scarf-lover Dr. Deborah Birx, who speaks alongside our president. But . . . please … someone clue her — once — once — stop those constant silk rags around her neck. Get one string of beads. A shoelace. Anything. Enough with ironing those daily old-style silk Hermès shmattas.

Charles in charge

Britain. Prince Charles’’ treatment includes Ayurveda. Historical roots known in the subcontinent 5,000 years, it means “science of life” in Sanskrit. Its Union Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) is also treating CV with alternative medicine.

Watching Bill

Staying in is staying tuned in. I’m hearing BillOReilly.com’s stats are way up, with something like 4 million page views. Unprecedented for an indie news Web site. More than Biden’s even stammered over.

Airlines in trouble. Like a 747 with hair under its wings? Like a pilot flying past the airport and landing in front of the unemployment office?

Not only in New York, kids, not only in New York.
