Leto and tigers and bears, oh my!
As one of many obsessed with Netflix’s new true-crime series “Tiger King,” Jared Leto hosted a viewing party on Twitter Thursday evening — and got into character by dressing up as Joe “Exotic” Maldonado-Passage, the show’s controversial star.
The “Suicide Squad” actor, 48, channeled the former zoo operator in a straw cowboy hat and sparkling Western-style shirt unbuttoned down to the navel, even toting a plush tiger to complete the look.
Leto, whose own flamboyant sense of style has made him a front-row and red-carpet favorite, continued to praise 57-year-old Exotic’s look as he live-tweeted the docuseries’ first episode.

“Thanks to joe for keeping fringe alive,” he wrote, later adding of his two-tone mullet, “I’m not gonna lie I’m into that hair.”
But it’s not just the “I Saw a Tiger” crooner who’s serving up serious fashion inspiration in Leto’s eyes; the Oscar winner couldn’t help but compliment the style of Exotic’s nemesis Carole Baskin, too.
“I DEF wore this on tour,” Leto tweeted along with side-by-side photos of himself and Baskin, 59, wearing strikingly similar pink floral shirts. He also seemed to envy the Big Cat Rescue founder’s jewelry, asking, “Can someone send me that turquoise necklace?”
Exotic is currently serving a 22-year sentence after being convicted of a murder-for-hire plot against Baskin, along with more than a dozen wildlife-related charges.
All seven episodes of “Tiger King” are now streaming on Netflix.
