On Monday, Cara Santana was spotted embracing Shannon Leto, the older brother of Jared Leto, in Santa Monica, Calif., in photos published Tuesday by the Daily Mail. The outing comes eight months after 36-year-old Santana split from “Desperate Housewives” alum Jesse Metcalfe.
Shannon, the 50-year-old drummer from Jared’s rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, is seen cupping Santana’s face in the shots, as the pair appears to be leaning in for a kiss.
It is unclear how long Santana and Shannon have reportedly been an item.
In January, Santana’s 13-year romance with Metcalfe came to an end, around the time photos surfaced of the “John Tucker Must Die” actor, 41, getting cozy with two different women on separate occasions, according to the outlet. He is said to have moved on with Canadian model Corin Jamie Lee Clark.
As for Sanatana, she is in a “good place” after “heartbreak.”
“Cara has healed from the heartbreak and has moved on,” a source told E! News. “She’s truly in a good place.”
One person who has had Santana’s back throughout the personal turmoil is best friend Olivia Culpo.
On Saturday, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit stunner — who has been dating Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey for over a year — posted a birthday tribute to Santana on Instagram.

Earlier this year, Culpo, 28, defended Santana in the wake of her breakup from Metcalfe, appearing to allude to cheating allegations.
Reps for Santana and Shannon did not immediately return our request for comment.
