In recent weeks designer Christian Siriano announced his staff would make surgical masks to help medical pros fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
On Friday, the fashion designer shipped 1,500 off to healthcare workers in New York.
He posted a video lugging a box of masks down a stairwell, and captioned it, “Wow, we are so proud and I can’t thank my team enough for all the hard work. We hope this helps so many people because they are helping all of us!”
Even though Siriano is still fulfilling orders for his regular clothing line, he and his team expect to manufacture up to 500 masks per day by this week.
