A lot has gone on during this year’s NFL free agency, evidently more than Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd can keep up with.

While discussing the current state of the Patriots, who just lost star quarterback Tom Brady to the Buccaneers, on his Fox Sports Radio/FS1 show “The Herd” Tuesday, Cowherd assured listeners that New England “will not pursue” quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

That would make sense, considering Bridgewater signed a three-year, $60 million deal with the Panthers over a week ago.

“They also will not pursue Teddy Bridgewater,” said Cowherd, who was one of the first to have Brady going to the Buccaneers.

“Who I love, or Andy Dalton, who I don’t, but both are far better than their current quarterback.”

Bridgewater will replace Cam Newton as the Panthers start this season after Newton was released Tuesday. Dalton is on the trade block with the Bengals expected to draft Joe Burrow with the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He has thus far spent his entire nine-year NFL career with Cincinnati.
