Former Giants receiver Travis Rudolph is being held without bond in Florida after he was arrested and charged with first-degree murder with a firearm and attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, the Palm Beach County Sherriff’s Office announced.

The 25-year-old Rudolph was taken into custody Wednesday morning following a double shooting in Palm Beach County that left one man dead and another injured and taken to a nearby hospital. The sheriff’s office said Rudolph is also being charged for shooting at two other people who were not injured. His first court appearance will be on Thursday.

After going undrafted in 2017, Rudolph signed with the Giants and appeared in seven regular-season games, making eight receptions for 101 yards. He was waived in September 2018 and later picked up by the Dolphins. On his first day of practice, Rudolph tore his ACL.

Rudolph went viral in 2016 while with Florida State when he ate lunch with and befriended a sixth-grader with autism.
