Pregnant Vanessa Morgan Is 'Excited About Becoming a Mom' Amid Divorce

Riverdale's Vanessa Morgan is 'in love' with her pregnancy body, makeup artist Denean Dale tells Us Weekly — exclusive interview

Counting down the days! Pregnant Vanessa Morgan is ready to meet her baby boy, despite her rocky romantic journey with husband Michael Kopech.

The Riverdale actress, 28, announced via Instagram in July that she’s expecting her first child. Three days later, multiple outlets reported that she and the MLB athlete, 24, had called it quits after six months of marriage. Despite her recent ups and downs, Morgan is looking forward to motherhood — and is fully embracing her pregnancy glow.

“She’s pretty excited about becoming a mom. … I’m sure she’ll be an amazing mom,” makeup artist Denean Dale tells Us Weekly exclusively after working with the CW star on a maternity photo shoot in October. “She was feeling good. She was for sure glowing from her pregnancy. She’s so beautiful that she exudes beauty. The glowing was definitely there.”

Morgan showed off the pics from her recent collab with Dale on Instagram, cradling her growing bump in a sheer blue gown and nearly baring all in a black lace look. “𝘐’𝘷𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸 & 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥. 🤍,” the Canada native captioned a sultry snapshot as she posed topless.

During the shoot, Dale says Morgan “wasn’t shy about revealing her body” and “was in love” with the way her figure looked. “We added some glowy touches to her body too so that her belly would really pop. She’s so tiny so we really just wanted to make her belly really stand out even though it does already,” the makeup expert adds. “It was really a special day. It was a lot of fun and she was excited about it. … It’s going to be a day she’s going to cherish.”

Upon revealing her pregnancy in July, Morgan noted that she “was debating keeping this part of my life hidden” from social media entirely. “I do want to keep this chapter of my life private but did want to be the first to share the news. I am overjoyed to be welcoming my baby boy into the world this January 💙,” she gushed via Instagram at the time. While she’s kept much of her journey hush-hush, Dale notes that she’s “not sure if [Morgan’s] keeping her baby private or what her plan is” after giving birth.

Earlier this month, Morgan officially began her maternity leave from Riverdale. The expectant mom previously admitted to feeling “10 times more tired at work” and gave a shout-out to “all the pregnant mommas working full-time jobs” in a candid Instagram Story.

The Latest Buzz alum wed Kopech, 24, in January. Though she hasn’t spoken out about her split from the Chicago White Sox pitcher, Morgan’s costar Madelaine Petsch wasn’t afraid to put trolls in their place.

“Honestly, if I see one more comment like this I’ll lose it,” Petsch, 26, clapped back in July after fans began to question Morgan’s baby’s paternity. “Vanessa is a beautiful mother-to-be and the hate and disrespect I’m seeing on this post about her bringing a new life into this world is disgusting.”
