Now that Dancing with the Stars has wrapped up its inaugural pandemic run, ABC is putting its full promotional press behind The Bachelor. In a preview that ran during the Dancing finale, Bachelor Nation got an extended look at the end of Tayshia's season of The Bachelorette, plus brand new footage of their upcoming Bachelor, Matt James.

Shot in a "bubble" at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Pennsylvania, this season of The Bachelor features a diverse cast of "ladies" vying for the 28-year-old real estate broker. "He's tall, dark and handsome. What more could you want?" gushes one "lady" of Matt, while another says, "He's getting hotter. It's just like... yum, daddy." Matt is the first Black star of The Bachelor, and producers want us to know they really are an equal-opportunity objectifier. Behold, some gratuitous shower shots!

The promo also delivers multiple make-out moments (I counted eight smooches, though I'm pretty sure some of the women are shown more than once), and women snapping at each other for having "no class." (Pot, kettle, black, "ladies.") All of this drama leads to tears, tears, and more tears.

"I just have to hope that it's worth it," whimpers one tearful contestant. Oh honey, it will be — maybe not for you, but for those of us who get to watch this train wreck.

The Bachelor premieres Monday, Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
