Sarah Paulson barely recognizable as Linda Tripp in ‘Impeachment’

Don't get tripped up if you don't recognize her.

Don’t get tripped up if you don’t recognize Sarah Paulson in her next role.

The 45-year-old actress and muse of uber-producer Ryan Murphy has revealed her huge transformation — courtesy of extensive prosthetics — into former White House staffer Linda Tripp for “American Crime Story: Impeachment.”

“Linda. American Crime Story: Impeachment has begun principal photography,” she wrote in a caption for a photo showing her new wigged look.

The Season 3 installment of Murphy’s anthology series will look at the sex scandal involving President Bill Clinton and intern Monica Lewinsky. Filming had been set to start last spring with a fall 2020 premiere but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“This is going to require a lot of things,” Paulson said of her portrayal during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in June. “I’ll be wearing a lot of prosthetics and body transformational accouterments — if that’s a word I can use.”

Clive Owen last year signed on to play Clinton with Beanie Feldstein (“Lady Bird,” “What We Do in the Shadows”) as Lewinsky and Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones, who sued Clinton for sexual harassment.

Murphy’s production is based on the 2000 book “A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Sex Scandal that Nearly Brought Down a President” by Jeffrey Toobin, who was fired Wednesday by The New Yorker because of allegedly inappropriate behavior during a Zoom call.

Previous installments of “American Crime Story” have examined the 1997 murder of fashion designer Gianni Versace by serial killer Andrew Cunanan (played by Darren Criss) and the high-profile murder trial of O.J. Simpson (in which Paulson played prosecutor Marcia Clark).

Paulson most recently starred in Murphy’s Netflix drama “Ratched,” an origin story for the wicked nurse from “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.”
