Denver Broncos general manager John Elway and CEO Joe Ellis have tested positive for COVID-19, the team announced.

The Broncos’ statement said Elway left the Broncos’ facility Monday morning when he began “experiencing minor symptoms,” which he reported to the team’s medical staff. Ellis began feeling sick on Sunday, forcing him to miss a Broncos game for the first time in 26 years, according to 9News. The team says both are “doing well” aside from mild symptoms.

The team has notified all its employees, but believes the transmissions of the virus occurred outside the team facility. There was a “minimal” number of close contacts, the team says, but no players or coaches.

The Broncos had canceled practice last Friday, following the infection of right guard Graham Glasgow. Assistant coaches Curtis Modkins, Mike Munchak and Ed Donatell had also been placed in COVID-19 protocol. All but Modkins remain isolated at home.

The Broncos are scheduled to play the Falcons on Sunday.
